RE: How to Fix MacBook Stuck on Loading Screen

Long story short, my iPhone X just decided to reboot one day, and then it kept restarting the boot process before it could finish, over and over. At some point the battery died, and it wouldn't charge while trying to reboot, meaning that as soon as I would unplug it, it would say the battery is too low. I googled everything I could, tried it all, no luck. Apple support was less than helpful, we concluded with the tech support people that it needs to be taken in for a repair. (The only time the Apple store could take it in was in 8 days, fun stuff).

So I was without a phone 2 days, turned the house upside down, found my 4S in a box within a box, and got it up and running. Had totally given up on the X. Took out the SIM, got the 4S all set up (mind you, through some advanced stupidity, I had ended up without any backup of my X, neither on iCloud, nor locally), and settled for a week of old-school iOS-ing, waiting for my 'Genius Bar' appointment. For some reason, at 02:00 AM, before getting in bed, I decide to plug the X into the charger, just to see what would happen after a day of charging. Lo and behold, it boots up in a few seconds, complaining about the missing SIM.

3utools Boot Loop

TL;DR: Remove the SIM card!

What Is Boot Loop

PS: To save some of you some googling: pres VolUp and VolDown and then hold the Power button pressed in until the screen goes blank AND KEEP PRESSING it, until you get to the 'restore from iTunes' screen. It was my only way to interrupt the boot loop, at least for a while. It didn't help me, because the Mac couldn't see the **** phone, but maybe this will help someone. Definitely try removing the SIM before restoring it from backup.

PPS: Maybe the SIM card thing was a big coincidence, 3 days after the phone started acting up. I'll post a reply later with updates, if I don't forget.
