- Hello People, I'm running windows 7 64 bit, condesor Sterling ST 55 to a USB Alesis Mixer (through a Presonus Blue Tube Mic Pre). My problem is simple. I can't record sound at all. I can drag and drop audio and hear that, but when it comes to recording sound- Studio one will not even allow me to arm a track to record.

About a year ago I bought Studio One Artist 2, Audiobox USB and an M7 condenser mic together as a package purchase. Although at the time I wasn’t able to explore Studio One thoroughly, I did learn how to record and playback audio tracks, mix a little, and tweak things here and there.
| Hi and thanks for your help in advance.. I'm running Studio 1 ver 2.6.5 with a Focusrite Scarlet 18i20. This setup has been running well for about a year. Last used in June. Since then I've upgraded to Windows 10. I open studio 1 today to do a quick recording and when I select multi track recording for new song it loads with no tracks. Strange, can't remember that happening before. Added 8 tracks and then proceeded to click on the arm button to record..nothing. The button does not select, and therefore the track doesn't arm. Loaded an older song to see if it would play back..it does..tried to arm a track in it..still nothing. I've uninstalled studio 1, and also uninstalled the focusrite drivers. Reinstall..same thing. HELP!!! Tom |

| Focusrite is selected as the audio device. Switch to windows audio and same thing. Unable to arm. Opened Audacity and Nero Wave Editor. Both can record from the Focusrite. Also, I have another PC running Win10 and Studio 1 is working fine on it. |
| I've only ever seen that happen when the record destination is invalid (read only?) or full or something similar, like if your song folder is pointing to a disc it can't actually write to, like a dvd. But I think now (in v3) you get a bright lettered notification on the transport disk details area if that's the case. V2 may not be as obvious, |
| Lawrence..you hit it on the head! For some reason Windows 10 changed the locations for saved files. Once I changed them back everything works as before. This problem is fixed.
